2008 mentor program

The Mentoring Program is bigger and better in 2008!

The WPN and PIA ‘m2M’ Mentoring Program has been relaunched and the 2008 program commenced in August. If you are interested in participating in next year's program, either as a mentee or a mentor, please direct any enquires to the contacts listed at the bottom of this page.

What is mentoring?

Mentoring is a powerful form of personal and professional development for both mentees and mentors. Read more about the WPN/PIA mentoring program and its history - click here.

What does the program cost?

Mentors are invited to donate their time and the fees for mentees are:

Member of WPN or PIA   Non-Member of WPN or PIA
Self Funded   $750   $1000
Employer Funded   $1300   $1500

How does the program run?

This year the program commenced with an Information Session in August. The Information Session is when potential mentors and mentees get to meet each other and get a feel for who has what to offer and to learn and whose skills might best meet whose needs. The pairing of mentors and mentees was then undertaken by the program steering committee immediately following the Information Session. A 2-day training component was then held in September.

The program will run until April 2009, with the Participation Certificates being awarded at this time.

The main components of the program are the one-on-one sessions, which are complemented by regular mentor/mentee meetings throughout the year and review sessions with the Program Facilitator, Christina Bell (dates of those sessions to be negotiated with participants).

How do I sign up?

Interested participants were required to complete and submit an Expression of Interest questionnaire, which assisted in planning the year's program and matching suitable partners.
